The Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas has endorsed state Rep. Jim Pitts, House District 10, for re-election.
Pitts is seeking his ninth term in the district that is comprised of Ellis and Hill counties.
“I am honored to receive this endorsement,” Pitts said. “CLEAT is an organization that works with law enforcement officers across the state of Texas and this group gives officers a real voice in the courthouse, at city hall and in the Capitol.”
CLEAT realizes that the 81st Legislative Session will present many opportunities to address issues important to Texas residents.
Charley Wilkison, director of public affairs for CLEAT, in a recent letter to Pitts, stated: “Your past support of law enforcement officers in your community and across the state tells us that you share in many of the same goals as CLEAT.”
“The 81st Legislative Session will offer many challenges, but I feel confident we can work together to keep Texas moving forward,” Pitts said. “I appreciate knowing that CLEAT recognizes my service to my district and I am proud to accept their endorsement of my candidacy.
