Rick Perry Visits Waxahachie, September 11, 2001
State Representative Jim Pitts is pleased to announce that Governor Rick Perry will be in Waxahachie on Monday, September 17 to visit with community leaders and citizens of Ellis County. The event will be held in the Crape Myrtle Room at the Waxahachie Civic Center, which is located on the southeast section of the I-35E and Hwy 287 interchange.
"I am pleased that Governor Perry is taking time from his busy schedule to come to Ellis County. Rather than making a formal speech, the Governor will utilize this time to simply visit with our citizens and hear how we can improve state government," said Pitts.
A choir from Northside Elementary School in Waxahachie will be singing patriotic selections for the occasion. The public is invited to attend at 3:15 p.m. at the Waxahachie Civic Center.
